“YOU MADE ME DO IT”

THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONAL CONTROL

The ability to regulate your own emotions in response to various stimuli is emotional control. Others are not to blame for your reactions. No one can make you react a particular way.  The onus is always on you. Being reactionary to everything stunts your growth and keeps you repeating cycles of destruction.

“When you think about catering to your own emotions, consider what the price is you will have to pay because you will get a bill.  Transient feelings shouldn’t be used to define your world.  Your feelings don’t have a right to rule over your life.”

Being mindful of what you ingest by way of watching certain programs, listening to certain music and the foods you ingest are all areas that can have an influence on your behaviors, thoughts and emotions. Emotional control is not suppressing or ignoring your emotions but rather acknowledging and accepting them and learning to respond to them in a healthy way.
