I am not a member, can I attend the ANU Retreat?
Yes. We encourage everyone to attend and take the opportunity to experience the beauty of ANU family, community and culture.

REGISTRATION
How do I register for the Retreat?
Members and non-members (individuals and families) can register for ANU Retreat on the Anu Life Global Ministries website at: Registration Form. Registrants are required to complete all questions in the form.
Can I invite/bring people who are not family?
Yes! We encourage everyone to attend. Families only need to register once. Individual adults not attending with family should register separately.
PREPARATION
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Attendees are always separated by gender. Men will be housed in together and wombmyn, girls and young children under 7 years of age will be housed together. Young men under 7 who are attending with their male Parent/Guardian will stay in the men’s dormitory.
What should I do to prepare?
For preparation you should follow ALGM on all social media, check the ANU Blog on the website and pose questions as needed. Email updates will be shared. Registered guests should attend the live Q&A. A detailed itinerary will be provided to all registered guests prior to the Retreat.
What do I need to bring?
Clothes: Dress is casual and comfortable. The temperature during this time of year may vary in the dawning (mornings) and evenings, so it is a good idea to bring layers. For physical activities/exercise, you should have clothing and footwear that does not restrict movement.
NOTE: We encourage attendees to come as they are, however both men and women should wear appropriate attire for mixed company. ANU Wombmyn dress in modest attire which includes head coverings and mid-calf length skirts or dresses. Bodycon and revealing attire is unacceptable in our community.
Footwear: Sneakers, hiking boots
Linens: bedsheets, pillows, blankets , mattress pads/covers (optional), Towels, washcloths. Linens are not supplied by the venue or ALGM
Outdoor Gear: There are grounds around the facility and the option to camp may be available. Attendees who opt to camp for 1 or all nights should bring: tent, sleeping bags, adequate blankets and flashlights. There may be an additional fee for camping
What actually happens at an ANU retreat?
The time we spend together is restoring yet interactive. Attendees will participate in structured activities in groups guided or facilitated by ANU Members. Some activities on the agenda may include but are not limited to:
- Movement – Dawning (morning) runs/walks, yoga, dance
- Meditation
- Interactive Group Activities – learning and practicing survival skills and games
- In-Person Shabbat Fellowship and Builds
- Rights of Passage Ceremonies for ANU members
- Nightly Fireside Builds
A detailed itinerary will be provided to registered guests prior to the Retreat.
What are the COVID protocols?
We will comply with the COVID19 protocols in place for the selected venue. Vaccinations are not required to attend this event.
MEALS
Do we pay for food separately?
All meals (breakfast and dinner) are included in the registration fee of $225, per registered adult. Children 12 and under are FREE. Feel free to bring healthy snacks, midday meals and extra water, if you like.
What Food will be prepared? Is a menu available?
“ANU kin should eat healthy foods, drink healthy water…” (ANU Way, Foundations) ANU encourages and practices healthy eating habits. Thus, all meals will be plant-based, nutrient-dense and purposed. A menu will be provided to attendees with your registration packet which will be distributed closer to the event date.
Food will be served twice per day: breakfast and dinner. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own snacks and food for midday meals.
“We do not prohibit consuming animal carcass but it is deeply discouraged. Regardless of whether we ingest meat or not, we must still follow the Mosaic Laws as outlined in the book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy. DO NOT EAT UNCLEAN ANIMALS (PIG, CHICKEN, FLIGHTLESS FOWL, SHELLFISH).” (ANU Way, Foundations) These “foods” will not be allowed in the same facility and equipment where the retreat food is being prepared

How much is the retreat?
Cost(s)/Fee(s): $225 per person (includes all meals). Children 12 and under are FREE.

When is payment due?
Payment Due Dates:
- 1st deposit of $100/per registered adult (within 48 hrs of submission of registration)
- Final payment due within 3 weeks of registration but no later than August 1st, 2023
- All payments due by August 1, 2023
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Cancellations made 15 days or greater will result in a full refund. If a registrant cancels within 14 days or less, the $100 per person deposit will be forfeited.

Promotion – We need people to share information about ALGM via social media. Like, Share, Repost, Follow and subscribe to/from the ALGM social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Collect/Share Testimonies – if you have a personal story you would like to share about your experiences at the retreat or how ANU has helped you please share on our website.
